The process of enrolment and induction comprises 2-day
intensive training, verification of one’s antecedents, and
fitment of one’s vehicle.
- Members build an identity distinct from other
auto, taxi, bus or truck drivers and are respected for it.
- Members earn more because
passengers prefer them.
- We protect the members against all forms of exploitation
and corruption.
- Financial security is ensured
for the members through various insurance schemes and
pension plans and access to banking services.
- Members meet on a weekly basis to share experiences and
knowledge. In the meetings, they mutually learn how to
maximize revenues by continually improving the quality of
their service delivered to customers.
- Essentially, the project gives autorickshaw drivers the skills
and the resources which help them lead a dignified life and
build a promising future.
Since all the members will be required to carry advertisements on
the back of their autorickshaws, these will need to be fitted
with certain devices. In that process, the vehicle itself will
be upgraded and fitted with certain value enhancing trims, the
cost of which will be borne by the advertiser.
