In each case of
exploitation of driver by the auto-mafia, we
scan and preserve the following documents with
us:
- Case details
- Grievance petition to authorities
- Legal notice to auto-mafia, police,
transport department, etc.
- Criminal complaint in the court
- Auto driver's photo
- Vehicle's photo, if it is still in the
possession of the driver
- Copies of vehicles' documents

Today, 90 out of 100 autorickshaws are in the vice-like grip
of auto-mafia who operate in the garb of private financiers.
Genuine autorickshaw drivers have become bonded labourers at
their hands.
This has not only increased refusals, overcharging and
unserved and returned challans, but also jeopardized the
livelihood of
80,000+ autorickshaw drivers and their families. Together, at
least 4,00,000 lives stand adversely affected. The system
has failed them in a city which is aspiring to the status of a world-class
metropolis.
Mission Mafia se Mukti (Freedom from Mafia) is an all-encompassing initiative of
autorickshaw drivers led by NyayaBhoomi that will free up
vehicles from the clutches of auto-mafia and give it back to
genuine autorickshaw drivers. |
