On 05.07.2008, the Governing Body of NyayaBhoomi opined that
since the raison d’etre of NyayaBhoomi is to serve society,
the interests of society shall be best served if we held
ourselves accountable to the people in whose interest we
claim to work. Accordingly, we decided voluntarily to bring
NyayaBhoomi within the purview of the RTI Act, 2005 with
effect from 15.08.2008. This step has made NyayaBhoomi
probably the only non-funded NGO that has happily embraced
the RTI Act & declared itself a “Public Organization”.
